Find your everyday rhythm
Start with a view over the hills, take a walk through the community, and leave time for an afternoon by the pool. Our 101 residences in 39 buildings share an established 22-acre setting. Modern architecture, natural materials, and familiar surroundings give The Hillside its own Austin character.
Make a day of the lakes
Lake Austin and Lake Travis offer different ways to spend a day outside. Plan a picnic or lakeside outing at Emma Long Metropolitan Park, or explore Travis County’s lake parks. Pick a public access point before setting out, and check the park’s current entry requirements, water conditions, and facilities.

Know the land around you
The Balcones Canyonlands Preserve is part of the character of this corner of Austin. Its wooded hills protect wildlife habitat and give the surrounding landscape room to breathe. Preserve land is not all open for public recreation: use designated public trails or organized visits, and follow the managing agency’s access rules.

Keep Austin in the mix
Hill Country living still leaves room for a city evening. Ranch Road 2222 connects to Loop 360 and MoPac for trips around Austin. The Arboretum and The Domain offer shopping and dining options; downtown adds music, museums, and a change of pace. Check your route for the time you actually plan to travel.
